Yesterday was a very trying day. Made two dresses and 2 travel crayon caddie. Both for the Great Granddaughters. Victoria's birthday was a few days ago she is 7 now!!!! Wow how time flies!!!!
When we have some breathing room we will be posting some videos but for now it's only pics. Hope you enjoy what we have done so far.
We have a new circut and are doing great with it. We can pretty much put vinyl on anything so if you need something ask!!!! Can't wait to start making a profit with it!!! The black dress is for Lily! Our inspiration!!!!

Lily's Quilt

Today I started my first REAL quilt. For the granddaughter Lily!
It is pretty simple. 4" blocks sewn together in a REALLY random pattern.
It's not perfect BUT neither is the Grandmother!!! I think it is starting
out very pretty. I love these colors reminds me of spring. I hope Lily
will cherish it for all of her life. I love you Lily!!!

Lily is 2!

So, we went to the Tennessee Aquarium today. Since my SO(significant other/Daddy/Brandon) is off on vacation this week we decided that since Lily's birthday was during the week and we weren't having her party til the weekend we would find something fun to do on the day of her birthday. Sounded like a fun idea. My mom(Mamaw/Vickey) was going to come with us. My Dad(papaw/Wayne) had to work. Boooo.
The last time we went was before Lily turned 1 I think. She was a little to small to care much. She just rode in her stroller and slept. So ANYWAY... Today was....tiring.
We took a stroller but we also decided we would let her walk because she could get up close to the glass. Well, we have a monkey backpack with the long tail so you can keep hold of your child. Yeah, the first thing she did was try to run and just like what happens with a dog, the tail pulled and down she went. Didn't phase her. She jumped up and tried to go. And when I pulled the tail she leaned forward like your dog does when he's trying to go faster than you. So....lol. We did leave it on her just in case she broke free but we held her hand and just walked with her or one of us would carry her or hold her.
She LOVED it! Every fish she saw she would say "Hi fishy" and sometimes wave as she's saying it. When we saw the Sea Otters she said "Hi kitty" over and over. OMG! It was freakin' adorable!

Let me take a minute to just say something about people and their lack of courtesy. Yes I realize it is spring break week and yes I realize it was rainy out today so people were looking for inside activities but seriously people!! There were tons of people there and you had the like 20 or so that wanted to just stand there for forever and not care that other people wanted to see also.
And then ya know I know my kid isn't perfect but when there are that many adults and children in one place I think that kids need to be kept under better control. Me and my 2 year old were standing on and escalator going down and there was a girl about 10 I guess who was walking down the side part trying to walk on a part that wasn't moving and keep up with the handrail and I'm thinking if this girl falls shes gonna knock me and my daughter down and probably hurt us all. Parents nowhere in sight. Ugh! So who do I get annoyed with? Parent or child?

Okay sorry, so overall we had a good time. I loved just seeing Lily enjoying herself. But by the time we were ready to go she was over stimulated and in desperate need of a nap but it was too late in the day.

Saturday is her Rainbow party. Can't wait! Will share here.

5 more days!

In 5 more days Lily's birthday party will be here. We have been working soooo hard on it doing just about everything by hand. We will be posting some great pics of everything in the next week to come. I can't wait for it to get here. Her real birthday is on Thursday but you can't really have a GREAT party during the week cos most people work. SOOOO her mother and one of my other granddaughters and her daughters and her Daddy and her Pawpaw will be working very hard the rest of the week to make it GREAT for her. Can't wait to share!!!!

The very first one!

Well today I made my very first Pillow Case dress for Lily! I want you to know I was so very nervous about this! But it was all unfounded! It turned out so great. I made my own bias tape and even pinned it on. If you know me you know this was hard. I am always in a rush. I just know I can do things with no muss or fuss and then BAM ... well you know. But the dress turned out perfect and I can't wait to see here wearing it!

Welcome!

Hi there. Vickey & Tami here. Vickey's the mom, Tami's the daughter and Lily is the daughter/grand-daughter. We have been crafting for years though we were all over the place. We spent literally thousands on "craft supplies" that would almost always get stacked on top of the last round of supplies. We always went into things with enthusiasm but when we got frustrated we'd lose interest. Well, I'd like to say that has all changed! I think. I hope. :)

So, we started with making baby shower items, i.e., washcloth lollipops, mini diaper cakes, diaper candy rolls, and non baby shower items like, hair bow holder(small ones), taggies, hair bows, hand painted magnetic letters, and some other things you can see on our facebook page HERE.

We are currently selling some of our items on Ebay. We haven't started on Etsy  yet because we still haven't read all the fine print. But we will be posting things there shortly and when we do we will share it with you. :)

Now on to why we are doing this.

Like I said, we have gotten a little more serious with our crafting and some of it we'd like to share with you. So, until we can get a better camera to post video tutorials we will still do picture tutorials on some of the things we make. We LOVE Pinterest and we get so many wonderful ideas from there.
