Homemade wipes
Ok I tried the homemade wipes. This works great!!!! I saved a big coffee container then, I took a roll of Bounty select a size and took a sharpe knife and cut it in half. I put this in my coffee can and put the other half up for the next time . Then I mixed 1 teaspoon of baby oil and 1 teaspoon of baby wash in 2 cups of warm water. Pour all over the paper towels. Let this sit for about 10 or 15 mins then pull the core out. They are awesome!!!!! Give them a try it is worth it!

Goo Gone
Today I had a chance to try the homemade Goo Gone.
IT WORKS!!!!
I used one tablespoon baking soda and one tablespoon vegetable oil.
Made this into a paste and rubbed it on in a circular motion and guess
what!!!! The label that I had used nail polish remover on this
morning and let it soak over night with a soapy rag on it came crystal clean!!!!!!!!
I am always so happy when the homemade stuff works!!!! It sure beats
paying the price they want and you only need a small amount. SOOOOOO
if you need goo gone try this first!

Happy Mothers Day!
Just a little thing my hubby wrote last night! Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers! Happy Mothers Day Myrtle, Mother, And all the rest that are gone. Love you all!
Dear Mom,
I hope this finds you in good spirits…
I was cussing everyone who drank beer and ate potato chips picking up trash before I mowed my yard. My neighbor was at his mailbox, “Sending all your money to some CEO?” I asked.
“No, just a letter to my mother.” He answered.
“How is she doing?” Really afraid of his answer.
“ Oh, you know good days and bad days. She will read this letter to me when I visit her next week. No telling who it will be from. Last week it was from the preacher who baptized me. The week before it was the doctor who took my appendix out. Before that, the paper boy who always made sure the paper was always on the porch and never got wet. Sometimes it really gets hard, but she enjoys getting mail at the “HOME”. I think of all the things she did without so I could have. The baseball uniform she worked extra hours for to make sure I got to play baseball. Buying roller skates instead of the dress she had her eye on. The sleep she lost waiting for my fever to break or for me to just make it home in one piece. Don’t get me wrong, Dads do what they can but, there is a special almost mystical bond between a mother and her child. Don’t believe me? Just think of all the times you thought you got one over on her but, she knew. Somehow, someway she knew. Think about it.”
And I did. I saw then the look on his face. A kind of sadness, and yet, a twinkle in his eyes. I knew he was seeing the good times.
He looked at me and said,” Well neighbor, you have a yard to mow and I have things to do also.”
I thought for a second, turned toward the house and said, “Not today. I have something more important to do.”
… And that’s what my week has been like Mom. I hope yours has been good. How about lunch this Sunday?

YUMMY!!!

to use buttermilk I made them with whole milk and they fell apart!!! They were still good though.

So I tried the febreeze with the Downy, baking soda and water. Don't bother!!!
It smells great for a minute, then when you do to use it again it clogs up and you have
to flush out the sprayer!!! Frustrating!!!!
Then I bagged my shower heads in vinegar and left them for oh about 3 hours
or so and went back and lightly scrubbed them with a nail brush (an old one) it worked
like a charm!!!! Smelled up the bathroom but that's ok too!!! Our water is very hard here
so we get those pesky mineral deposits!!!!
Well that is it for today be back soon with more tips!!!!!!!!!

Poodle Noodle Wreath
Ok this is my take on the Poodle Noodle Wreath. Easy to make. Tape it together with duct tape or shipping tape either one. I cut 2" strips of fabric, then instead of hot gluing them on I just took straight pins and pinned it on. Don't worry if it doesn't cover the back (no one will know but us). Then I glued my flip flops on and finished with the flowers. I did glue all these things on. It turned out really cute I think.Only took me about 30 mins. or so and cost of noodle, and flowers $4.00. The flip flops were $3.00 got them at Walmart. Dollar tree didn't have any cute ones left. It's a little heavy because of the flip flops but I like it alot!!!! I can unpin the fabric and reuse the noodle at a later date AND wear the flip flops!!!!!! So here are the pics.
Today I finished putting Lily's quilt together. Now to take it and get the rest of it done, my machine just would not do it very well. I think it turned out ok. I love the colors. Hope she will cherish it for years to come. I still have the one my Mother and Daddy did for me years ago. It is pretty shabby now, it was all done by hand!!!! But I have it in a bag and it's put up. Well here are the pics let me know what you think!

Smoking No More!!!!
Yesterday marks 4 months since I quit smoking. It was the smartest thing I have ever done in my life. I feel better and can breath a whole lot better. If you don't smoke for gods sake never start. If you do smoke try to stop now before you are at your 40 year mark and can't stop so easy. its been a long 4 months but it is easier every day. Thanks to my family for all the support but you know what I GOT THIS!!!!!!!! I love you all for helping me and giving me the "want to".

So we had Lily's rainbow party. It was fun. Everyone ooohhhed and aaahhhhed all over everything. So I'm gonna post a few pictures of the different things we did. I don't have a lot of time or patience at the moment though to give detail about how everything was done. I will just tell you this, Pinterest is a wonderful place. We got so many ideas from there.

There is so much more that we didn't get pictures of. The fantastic goody bags, the candy bags, the bubbles, All the different rainbow things. We had rainbow fruit trays and veggie trays. But we tried our best to make everything rainbow related. Down to Lily's hair bow.
It was so much work. We worked on it on and off for about 2 ish months, maybe longer. For me it was worth it. Though she may not remember it, I will. The people who love her will. But I'm thinking next year we are gonna go cheaper and easier. LOL
